
Aleksandra Šilova
Dr. Aleksandra Šilova is a general and pediatric surgeon and pain medicine specialist committed to child-friendly, multidisciplinary, and evidence-based care. She serves as Head of the Surgical Clinic at Tallinn Children's Hospital and lectures on pediatric surgery, perioperative care, and pain management at Tallinn Health Care College. Dr. Šilova has extensive experience in assessing and treating acute and chronic pain—ranging from nociceptive and neuropathic to nociplastic syndromes—across all age groups. She holds the European Diploma in Pain Medicine (EFIC) and integrates interventional techniques (such as radiofrequency and cryoablation) with pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies to tailor individualized care. She is actively involved in developing structured pain-pathways and multidisciplinary services and participates in several national and international professional societies. Her leadership is recognized in advancing integrated perioperative and pain care.
