Galina Baltgaile holds an MD and PhD in Neurology, specializing in cerebrovascular diagnostics and neurosonology. She has worked as a consultant and researcher at Riga’s 7th Clinical Hospital and Riga Stradins University, leading research projects on cerebral circulation disorders and serving as the head of the Latvian Society of Neurosonology. Her work encompasses medical education, organizing courses and international conferences, and training neurology residents. She has contributed to numerous studies, published scientific articles on cerebrovascular diseases and neurosonology innovations, and played a key role in advancing diagnostics and early stroke prevention.
