Professional Biography:
Professor Maija Radzina, MD, PhD, Chief of RSU Radiology Research laboratory and President of the Latvian Ultrasound Association (2011-now) and Latvian Radiology Association (2015-2023) and currently is the Chair of Finance and Internal Affairs Committee (since 2023) in the European Radiology Society (ESR) Executive Council.
M. Radzina is a radiologist at the P. Stradins Clinical University Hospital, Diagnostic Radiology Institute in Riga, Latvia. She is recognized as a passionate educator in stroke advanced brain imaging (CT perfusion) and a diligent researcher with numerous publications. Her work has been devoted to innovative methods for brain, vascular and hemodynamics imaging (contrast enhanced ultrasound, microvascular imaging). Her research is dedicated to innovative methods in imaging and advanced characterization of pathologies, including AI and education and performance standards in radiology.
