
Pille Taba
Professor Pille Taba is a Head of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery and a Head of the Institute of Clinical Medicine of the University of Tartu. She was graduated from the University of Tartu, Estonia, and received her postgraduate medical training at the University of Vienna, UCL London, Karlstad University Hospital, and the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology. Pille Taba’s research interest are movement disorders, particularly Parkinson’s disease and parkinsonism, as well neuroinfections. She has broad research contacts, among them collaboration with the University College London, University of Helsinki, and Uppsala University. Professor Pille Taba has leaded several grant projects and trials, supervised PhD thesis, and been an invited speaker at many international congresses and educational courses. Dr. Taba is actively involved in international collaborations and serves as a member of Committees of the European Academy of Neurology and International Movement Disorder Society. She has authored numerous scientific publications, and been invited as a speaker at international conferences, sharing insights from her extensive clinical and academic experience.
