
Ruta Kaladyte-Lokominiene
Ruta Kaladyte Lokominiene, MD, PhD, is an assistant professor at Vilnius University, Lithuania, and Director of the Coordination Center of Parkinson’s Disease and other Movement Disorders at the Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinics where she works as a neurologist and coordinator for neurology in Rare Diseases Diagnostics, Treatment and Monitoring Coordination Center, National Center of Huntington’s Disease and other Choreas, Center of Lysosomal Storage Diseases, Neurofibromatosis Coordination Center and clinical patient’s management system at European Reference Network of Rare Neurological Diseases. She has defended PhD thesis at Vilnius University in 2014 on clinical and biological markers of early Parkinson’s disease. Her clinical and research interests include Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, rare neurological diseases, cognitive disorders and art therapy in neurology. Currently she serves as a President of Lithuanian Association of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders (since 2024), Head of Vilnius Neurological Society (since 2015), representative of Lithuania at European Board and Section of Neurology in UEMS, scientific panels of Movement Disorders and Neurogenetics at European Academy of Neurology (since 2014).
